Your whole fleet, three years, in cash.

The cost page models one kind of vehicle. Fleets are several, on different plans, and some of those groups lose money on their own. This calculator shows which, when the money goes out, and the month it comes back — or that it does not.

Start from a regional distributor

As set, it pays back in month 9 at the cost page's rates and in month 26 at half of them. Site pickups and Curtainsider trailers cost more than they save on their own; the rest of the fleet carries them. Change the counts and what each group is fitted for. The link updates as you go, so the estimate can be sent to whoever signs.

Professional unlocks routing, coaching and paperless admin — three more levers, at a higher rate.

Why the curve starts deep

Devices are invoiced when they ship and the first year's subscription is invoiced in advance, so day one is SAR 200,900 out before anything is saved. Every renewal is another step down.

Why it bends before it climbs

Nothing is saved while units are being fitted. Savings then run at 25%, 50%, 75% of the full rate over the next months, because a driver's habits change later than their tracker does.

Why there are two lines

The dashed line halves every lever's rate; the solid one uses the cost page's rates as they stand. If a decision only works on the solid line, it is a bet on everyone doing everything the cost page assumes — and that is worth knowing before you sign.

A group only saves what its plan can pull

The calculator gives each group the levers its plan and hardware allow, not all six. On this fleet, moving every powered group to Professional changes the end of year three from SAR 748,919 to SAR 785,220.

The extra levers are worth more than the extra subscription here. That is not true of every fleet — try it with only light vans.

Lever Rate Needs
Cut idlingA shutdown policy drivers accept. Alerts alone move this very little. 4% any unit
Plan the dayJobs arriving early enough to plan against. Same-day work does not benefit. 6% Professional
Coach driving styleSustained coaching. The gain decays within months if the programme stops. 4% Professional
Stop fuel lossA tank probe. The engine gauge is too coarse to prove a 60-litre loss. 2% a fuel probe
Plan maintenanceWorkshop capacity to absorb the peak weeks. Otherwise it just moves the queue. 15% engine data, fitted for Maintenance
Remove admin and overtimeActually retiring the paper process rather than running both. 12% Professional

What this cannot tell you

These are not our measurements

They are the conservative end of what operators report. We have not audited your fleet, and any vendor quoting a precise figure before doing so is quoting a brochure.

The levers are not independent

Better routing reduces the distance that driving style then applies to. Adding the percentages together would overstate it, so each lever is charged against what the ones before it left — the fuel levers compound, they do not sum.

Most of it needs somebody to act

Alerts do not cut idling; a policy does. The software makes the problem visible and measurable, which is necessary and not sufficient.

Some fleets should not buy this

A small light-vehicle fleet pulling one lever will not clear the hardware cost inside a year. The model will tell you that if you set it up that way.

Trailers and tags save nothing here

Their value is utilisation — assets you stop buying or hiring — which depends on decisions this model cannot see. The utilisation page does that arithmetic separately.
