65 litres left the tank at Day 3, 23:00, parked at the depot with the ignition off. It is a smaller volume than the smallest refuel on the chart — 280 litres — which is exactly why size alone tells you nothing.
Why most fuel alerting gets switched off
Not because it does not work — because it works too eagerly. A tank sloshes on a roundabout and the sensor reports a drop. Alert on that and you send a thousand messages a month to find three thefts.
Each row adds one condition. The count on the right is what lands in somebody's inbox that month across a forty-vehicle fleet; the number of real losses never changes, because it was always three. The work is removing the other 1,237.

Theft is not your biggest fuel problem
It is the one that feels worst, because someone is doing it to you on purpose. But theft and siphoning accounts for 14% of what a typical fleet loses, and idling accounts for 31%.
We would rather sell you the tank probe and have you find out that the real money was in the engines left running outside a customer's gate.

What you measure it with
The engine's own gauge is free and will not settle an argument. A fitted probe costs money and will.
At ±5% on a 600-litre tank the error band is 30 litres — wider than most siphons. That is not a sensor for catching theft; it is a sensor for watching consumption trends, which is a different job and a perfectly good one.
